THEME PARKS, WATER PARKS & DESTINATION RESORTS
Naturalistic rock and water amenities are now automatic parts of adventure rides and experiences for theme park visitors. Whether craggy cliffs, ocean coastline, white water rides, dark grottos, desert wastelands, rain forests, or arctic scenes are portrayed, simulated rock work plays an integral part in creating an authentic atmosphere. The ability to duplicate all rock surfaces found in nature is something of which we are very proud. We work directly with designers from the initial concepts through the fabrication process and construction. The versatility of the products lends itself to unusual as well as functional applications. With an eye for quality and detail, we make imaginative designs a reality that entertain the public and bring them back again and again.
ATLANTIS PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS
The company was actively involved in the design and construction of all phases including artificial lagoons, waterfalls, underwater reefs and the lazy river. We created 16,000 varied pieces of artificial coral, 750,000 square feet of artificial rock work and hand carved stone plaster, and a variety of artifacts and sculptures from the mythical city of Atlantis.
THE LOST CITY, AFRICA
Hidden in the southern regions of Africa lies the tiny Republic of Bophuthatswana, the site of the most spectacular and imaginative destination resort in the world, Sun City. Our artisans worked on-site for nearly two years to complete the magical water features and rockscapes for what is considered the Eighth Wonder of the World. The Lost City is largest project ever attempted in our industry. Majestic waterfalls, hidden streams, exotic fish ponds, and bubbling cataracts accent the dense tropical gardens that extend over eighty acres. The water park features numerous slides, pools, a meandering river, and a two acre wave pool with six foot waves.
WILD ARCTIC AT SEA WORLD, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
Wild Arctic at Sea World is a magnificent triumph of simulated frozen scenery that recreates a discovery and subsequent investigation of the mysterious and tragic 1845 Franklin Arctic Expedition. We have genuinely replicated the natural wonders of the Arctic. Using some of today's most innovative techniques, we created overlapping environmental layers to deliver maximum realism to the authentic polar environment. UV resistant ice, snow, and glacial rock were recreated using castings and hand-carved concrete, washed, and eroded to simulate windblown snow and polar ice. A natural crystal replicates the glitter of the snow and ice. A special drip system creates hundreds of artificial hybrid resin icicles appear to be melting. Rocking ice floes bob above cobble marine floors, host to starfish, anemones, sponges, and coral encrustations. Shipwrecks above and below water feature twisted, frozen, and warped, planks along with crafted artifacts.
